5 Day Guided Tour - Mountains to Sea - ex Queenstown

 We just wanted to thank you and Trail Journeys for the fantastic week we had doing the Otago Rail Trail.  We had a wonderful time and all the planning done by Trail Journeys was great.  The whole week went without a hitch. We would especially like to thank Allen for his superb organisation and interesting tours and excursions.  We had a great group and we enjoyed every moment of the four days.  The meals and accommodation were outstanding.  The bikes were perfect for the job and a joy to ride.  So much so that we are going to invest in some the same as the bikes that you provide.We especially like the carrier/carry bag arrangement.  Can you please let us know where these can be purchased from?  Or do you sell them.  We would love to know some details if possible. We have told all our friends and work colleagues about the terrific week we had and passed on what pamphlets we had to some people but would really like a few more if it is possible for you to mail us some.

Dear Shayne,

It gives me enormous pleasure to write a few comments on our recent cycle tour that was arranged through your company. A customer feedback form was provided in the comprehensive folder that we received, but we preferred to list our comments in the form of a letter to you. From the initial receipt of a reply to our original booking request by Alana, through to our departure on the train to Dunedin, we can only state that the treatment and service we received from your company was outstanding, and not only a credit to the individuals themselves, but also to the obvious high standards set in your organisation. We thought we were booking for a managed tour, with the convenience of a bus to carry the baggage, but what we received was on another level altogether.

Our pick-up in Queenstown was on time and the driver was hugely informative along the route to Clyde.The reception at Clyde and the handover of the bikes and gear was very efficient and obviously well planned. The gear was in tip top condition and sized correctly.The tour brochures and folder was very well set out and papers that applied to our particular requirements were included and 100% correct.The greeting by our tour guide was friendly and informative.We stayed at several establishments along the route selected by your team…All met with our approval and can only be classed as excellent in all aspects, with possibly the only exception being traffic noise in the night at the Motel in Alexandra. The rooms / suites at Tiger Hill Lodge, Wedderburn Cottages and Otago Central Hotel in Clyde were outstanding….we could wish for nothing more. Indeed a few others in our party did comment on single beds, but it was not a huge issue!! Our meals throughout the trip were fantastic. In fact all the food in all the establishments along the trail was very well done, even in restaurants outside of your offering. We have been hugely impressed.

However, by far the most memorable part of our trip, aside from sore muscles and the sense of achievement in completing the trail, was the input and guidance provided by your tour leader Snow Hamilton.His knowledge and wisdom concerning his subject and his obvious pride in his land and history was absolutely mind-blowing.His ability to communicate all he has to offer in the laid back “southern man” under statement style was just marvellous. He took us places and showed us things, often of a personal nature that really let us into the Central Otago culture and let us as a group truly appreciate the life and times of your district.His ability on the road, as well as his skills on the tour were a credit to your company.As a group we marvelled that you could have the services of such and employee andhe also obviously loves the organisation with a passion.He is so proud of what Central Otago has achieved with the Rail Trail it just bursts through all the time, and it is infectious for his audience. Well done Shayne, you can be proud of your company and what it so richly deserves and achieves. We will have no hesitation in recommending your business to anyone who should enquire.
