Begin your 4 day Otago Central Rail Trail experience from Dunedin on one of the world's great scenic railways, the Taieri Gorge Excursion Train. The train winds itself through the gorge, into tunnels and over viaducts to arrive at Pukerangi, the gateway to the Strath Taieri Plains. We'll visit the historic towns of St Bathans and Naseby, take you curling and check out the massive Oceania Macraes Goldmine if you feel so inclined.
