Department of Conservation:
New Zealand's government body that is responsible for biodiversity, conservation, historic conservation, the conservation experience, conservation partnerships and quality conservation management in New Zealand. DOC are resposnible for the upkeep and maintenance of the Trail.
Tourism Central Otago:

New Zealand's government body responsible for promoting New Zealand.
Otago Central Rail Trail:
All the information you'll need to ride the Otago Central Rail Trail. Detailed information on accommodation, things to do, food & refreshments, towns along the Trail, the history of the Trail and lots else. Managed by the Otago Central Rail Trail Trust. Trail Journeys is an active supporter of the Trust's official website.
Taieri Gorge Railway:
Departing daily (except Christmas day) the Taeri Gorge Train experience takes you on a journey through the rugged and spectacular Taieri River Gorge, across wrought iron viaducts and through tunnels carved by hand more than 100 years ago. You can either start or finish your Railtrail experience from Middlemarch with the Taeri Gorge Railway team.
Clutha River Cruises:
Explore the mighty Clutha River. Journey the isolated reaches of the stunning and historic Roxburgh Gorge. Marvel at some of New Zealand's best examples of European and Chinese gold mining. View the mining sites of Doctors and Butchers Points and see the schist huts that the miners lived in all those years ago. Take in some of the most spectacular scenery that only Central Otago can offer.
Beaumont Jet is a commercial Jetboat Adventure Tour & River Taxi Service owned and operated by Dave & Ali Crawford operating between Alexandra & Tuapeka Mouth Ferry, stretching over 100 kilometers of the mighty Clutha( Mata-au) River based at Beaumont off stae highway 8 bordering the Clutha & Central Otago Districts.
Maniototo International Curling:
The township of Naseby in the Maniototo, Central Otago has become the country's curling capital with the completion of New Zealand's first International and Olympic standard indoor curling rink. (Currently the only dedicated indoor curling rink in the Southern Hemisphere.)
