Our trips suit anyone in reasonable health and fitness. Each trip has a grade so you can choose what’s right for you. Check our grading system or chat with our team about the physical requirements.

You’ll have an experienced guide with you from start to finish, plus a small group of like minded riders, maximum 10. We include a support vehicle, accommodation, most meals, maps, side trips, and pre trip info. If you need a rest, you can jump in the support vehicle at the next access point. NZ weather can change quickly. Bring waterproof gear and layers made from polyester, wool, or nylon, avoid cotton. We will send a full gear list in your pre departure info.

Warmest months are December to February. For fewer crowds and mild weather, travel between October and December.

Most trips run from October to May. Winter trips, June to September, are available on request, and private tours can run year round. See trip pages for dates.

Yes, bikes, pedals, seats, and more. Please let our team know in advance.

You will enjoy the freedom to ride at your own pace. We arrange the logistics before you arrive and provide maps, signage, and accommodation details. You will need to handle small bike adjustments or puncture repairs, and we are here if anything major comes up.

Yes. Many trails suit families with kids over two. We offer bike trailers, tow along bikes, and trail a bikes for ages 4 to 9. Contact us to discuss your needs.

We work with a range of accommodation on the cycle trails, including family run motels, luxury heritage stays, lodges, cabins, farmstays, and hotels. Each trip page describes the available options.
